Aromatherapy For Ladies Only
In keeping with the categories of the last few months, I thought it would be fun to compile a list of women’s challenges in life and the essential oils that can help them through their struggles. I know some of these ailments have been covered in the past months, but I thought it would be good to have them all together in one article.
I recommend that if you are afflicted by one or more of these challenges, you can use either a single essential oil or a combination of up to 5 essential oils (two drops each) mixed with a carrier oil (like grape seed, almond or massage lotion) and rubbed in a clockwise direction over the abdomen and around the reproductive organs or over the affected areas. A drop or two of some of the more gentle oils like lavender, chamomile, frankincense, myrrh or tea tree can be added to the water in a douche bag for internal cleansing of the reproductive organs, especially with cystitis or vaginal itching. For more of the psycho-spiritual complaints, essential oils can be placed in an aroma lamp and burned for help with mood swings or depression.
Essential oils can be a real bonus in one’s life when minor problems crop up, especially when they are hormone related. So take time to heal yourself, take time to treat yourself well and be loving, kind and gentle to yourself.
