Faces of the Downtown Mall Outside my Window
The years come and go but there are some faces that are timeless.
Below are some shots of things I see out my window.

My office building is L shaped and on the opposite wing of the building there is an office with a balcony. The tenant who rents there, brings his dog most days and lets his dog hang out all day on the balcony. It amazes me that people walk below and never know there is this adorable fluffy thing looking down on them. I really enjoy him.

This is another dog that I love watching. Paco sits outside the kitchen door of Petit Pois most days watching his master Brian cook. What a lovely dog, so friendly to all those who eat there.

Here’s another dog, of sorts. The police had a community day and this police dog greeted children. I wonder if he wants to eat at Petit Pois?

Speaking of police… I love when the police hang out by the fountain. A lot of times there are noisy gangs just hanging out making mischief and a police presence discourages them from staying around. It was really hot this day and they were enjoying a bit of shade.

This is an extremely rare sight you’ll probably never see. Meets Susan. She’s the ONLY lunchtime waitstaff at Petit Pois and believe me she earns her tips. She has all the tables outside plus the inside tables to take care of and on a sunny day, she is run off her feet. I’ve been watching her wait these tables for the last couple of years and she does a great job!

And still on the Petit Pois site, we have the evening cook. When he’s doing his wonderful onion soup, the whole second floor of the Central Place smells of sauted onions. Usually it is a good thing, though sometimes when the garlic is being chopped and fried, it is a little too intense…
