Sue teaches a Hatha 1 Yoga class through the University of Virginia Intramural Recreation Department. You can find the link by clicking here. Her classes are Tuesdays at 5:30-6:45 p.m. at North Grounds gym, near Darden School, during the school semesters.

Sue also is offering Hatha Yoga Classes at the School of Nursing on Mondays at 5:15 p.m. and Fridays at 11:30 a.m. in the new Resiliency Room, which is room 2009 in McLeod Hall. This class is open to all. And is held during the school semesters. Contact Sue for details. Please note- there is free parking in the Nursing School parking lot for the Monday night class, but not for Friday’s class.
After the yoga class on Mondays, there is a Learn to Medutate class. See the flyer for info.

Sue’s Hatha classes emphasize body alignment and proper posture in the asanas. She combines holding poses with flow poses and ends each class with a deep savasina meditation. You can hear an example of her yoga nidra melt downs by clicking on this link.

You can read an article on her views of Functional vs Aesthetic Yoga here.

Sue also holds a Multi-Level hatha class near Carter’s Bridge (south of Charlottesville) on Thursday mornings at 8:30-9:45. Please contact Sue for information.
